So thank you for this because I don't know what substitutes are good because I don't typically cook that way. I made it with nestles allergen free semi-sweet chips and coconut milk. It was really good-the 12 year old birthday girl approved during taste tests-as did my husband and other kids-so I am not even going to make a "regular" fondue for the non-allergic guests. Just going to make this one for everyone.5 stars
